Mantility is a limited edition silk scarves gallery making fashion artful and accessible. One of our collections is dedicated to world cultures. In the “JAPAN” scarf, the designer is fascinated by the Geisha’s mixture of knowledge about painting, music, reading texts and traditions. For the designer she is a female role model and so she was chosen as the center of the design. By studying the art and the customs of Japan, he chose to create a collection of combinations of patterns found in the art and everyday life of Japanese people. He did not move on conservative and strict lines because his purpose was to interact with the elements he collected and compose them using his personal design style.
